    Babies Toddlers Pre School
Baby unit 6 weeks to 18 months The routine in this room is very individual and flexible. Staff will discuss babies routines with parents and carers and a joint decision will be made about sleep time, feed times etc. Staff within the baby room provide a range of stimulating and multi sensory activities that encourage the growth of all areas of development
The toddler room is a little more structured than the baby unit, suitable for 18 months to 2 1/2 years. However there is quite a flexible approach in relation to rest and sleep. At this age children are developing at a rapid pace, socially, physically emotionally and intellectually. Our toddler children enjoy a wide range of activities that aim to develop all areas, paying particular attention to social skills such as feeding independently and potty training.
This is a structured room where children complete topic based activities through play. In pre school the children work largely on improving social skills such as concentration, sharing, dressing etc. They also work towards the 6 learning areas to prepare them for the big step to school.
